Study plan
Data science is a new field that people have developed to turn available data into strategic information that can help to visualize the state of the process being analyzed, as well as to identify the variables/elements that influence and affect it. The mass generation of data has set before people and organizations (both public and private) an array of challenges ranging from how to acquire and store their data to what to do with all the data at their disposal. Data scientists are professionals who have the competencies to characterize data using mathematical models in order to identify behaviors, trends, and features of the problem or process being analyzed, and thus to optimize and forecast its performance. Current and future challenges make data scientists key members of work teams in practically all areas of human endeavor, because they are the ones who can make data useful for taking competitive and social advantage of specific processes, developments or situations that take place but that people fail to understand in all their implications.
