Juan Carlos Martínez Alvarado, M.Sc. (Coordinator)
Master's degree in Applied Informatics, Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He also has a Specialization in Business Process Improvement from the same institution.
He was a founding partner of the computer company CONSISTE, Confiabilidad en Sistemas, where he served as director of management and finance and as software manager. He was also a founding partner of the construction firm CVO, S. A. and of Grupo Constructora Martínez Villanueva, S. A. He was production manager at the HYC, S. A. paint factory and coordinator of management and finance at Bangente, S. A.
Dr. Riemann Ruíz Cruz
PhD and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (CINVESTAV), Guadalajara campus. Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Oaxaca. Since 2011 he has taught at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), currently in the Department of Mathematics and Physics, where he works on a research project that looks at the management of renewable energy markets, as well as another research project on modeling and optimizing vehicle traffic. He has also taught in the Master's degree in Water and Energy at the Tonalá University Center of the University of Guadalajara. He served as an evaluator of graduate programs applying for admission to CONACYT's National Program of Quality Graduate Programs (PNPC, in its initials in Spanish) in the 2016 Call for Programs.
Dr. Juan Diego Sánchez Torres
PhD and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (CINVESTAV), Guadalajara campus. Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering from the National University of Colombia, Medellín campus. He has worked at ITESO since 2015 as a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Physics. He coordinates the Basic Academic Unit for Finance and teaches courses on Quantitative Finance, Integral Calculus, Evaluation of Capital Risk Projects, and Risk and Coverage Simulation.
Dr. Saúl Alonso Nuño Sánchez
PhD and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados (CINVESTAV), Guadalajara campus. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He has taught at ITESO since 2010, and currently coordinates the Mathematics and Physics Department's Professional Application Projects (PAPs), as well as the Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy Seminar. He teaches courses in Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics and Mathematical Logic, and offers tutorials on differential calculus, integral calculus, differential equations and advanced calculus.
