The biggest challenge for the Social Sciences in the 21st century is to account for the complexity of multidimensional and accelerated social change, as well as new dynamics that require deeper and more complex analytical approaches than those used today. As a response to a need that traditional social science frameworks cannot address, ITESO offers this graduate program that seeks to form researchers and develop knowledge for the theoretical enrichment of reality and the generation of innovative proposals in the field of social practices.
The objectives of this program are:
- To train Social Science researchers who are capable of formulating and studying relevant regional, national, and international issues and dynamics.
- To critically analyze the current state of various disciplines within the Social Sciences, in a framework of a cross-disciplinary dialogue.
- To contribute to the strengthening of high-level scientific research and to address pressing social needs.
