Adriana Pantoja de Alba, MA (Coordinator)
Bachelor in Communication from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and Master's Degree in Cultural Management and Development from the University of Guadalajara, in collaboration with the National Culture and Arts Council (CONACULTA). She currently coordinates the Cultural Management undergraduate program at ITESO. Between 2002 and 2006 she worked as coordinator of Research and Educational Evaluation at the Trompo Mágico interactive museum.
María Martha Collignon Goribar, PhD
PhD in Social Sciences (University of Guadalajara), Master's Degree in Education (ITESO). Member of the Research Network of Youth Studies of Jalisco (Rejij, in its initials in Spanish). Main lines of research: youth, culture, sexuality, HIV/AIDS, and communication, on which she has published several articles and has participated as a speaker at conferences around Mexico and in Latin America. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI, in its initials in Spanish) level I (SNI-CONACYT)
Rodrigo de la Mora Pérez Arce, PhD
PhD in Social Sciences with a specialization in Social Anthropology from the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS), Western Unit, with the dissertation titled "Yuitiarika huyeiyarite," Research professor at the Department of Sociocultural Studies of ITESO, and coordinator of the basic academic unit Social Production of Meaning and Sociocultural Practices. Rocío Enríquez Rosas, PhD
Research porfessor in Social Sciences. Numerary professor in the Department of Sociocultural Studies of the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (DESO-ITESO). PhD in Social Sciences with a specialization in Social Anthropology from CIESAS Occidente, and a member of the National System of Researchers, level II (SNI-Conacyt).
Raúl Fuentes Navarro, PhD
PhD in Social Sciences (University of Guadalajara), Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI, in its initials in Spanish) and the Mexican Academy of Sciences.
Main lines of research: communication teaching and research in Latin America.
Susana Herrera Lima, PhD
PhD in Social-Scientific Studies (ITESO). Master's Degree in Communication with a specialization in the Dissemination of Science and Culture (ITESO). Full member of the Mexican Society for the Dissemination of Science and Technology (Somedicyt). Main lines of research: Technology and society, Communication of science through telematic media.
Rossana Reguillo Cruz, PhD
PhD in Social Sciences (Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social de Occidente-CIESAS). Member of the National System of Researchers (SIN) and the Mexican Academy of Sciences. Main lines of research: urban cultures, everyday life and subjectivity, youth cultures.
Diana Sagástegui Rodríguez, PhD
PhD in Anthropology (Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis, France), Master's Degree in Sociology (University of Guadalajara, Mexico) and in Instructional Technology (University of Houston, USA). Main lines of research: Education and culture in the society of knowledge, Adoption of information and communication technologies.
Alfonso Hernández Barba, MA
Head of the Department of Sociocultural Studies (DESO). Bachelor in Communication Sciences and Master's Degree in Communication with a specialization in the Dissemination of Science and Culture from ITESO. He is part of the network of teachers around the country who focus on cultural politics; the planning, design and evaluation of cultural projects; the training of cultural managers; and education and culture.
Magdalena López de Anda
Research professor in the Department of Sociocultural Studies of ITESO. Since 1993, she has focused on the study and production of communication mediated by information technologies. Education: Bachelor in Communication, Specialization in Education and Cognitive Processes and Philosophy; Master's Degree in Society of Information and PhD candidate in Information and Knowledge Society.
Carlos Enrique Orozco Martínez, MBA
Master's Degree in Business Administration (ITESO). Tenured professor and researcher at ITESO. Founding member and first coordinator (1998-2003) of this degree program. He has published several academic texts on the public communication of science in Mexico, and has participated as a speaker at national and international conferences. Author of the weekly column "El Cierzo" on scientific and cultural topics in the daily newspaper Público-Milenio since its foundation, he was its Public Editor from 2002 to 2004.
Enrique Páez Agraz
Master's Degree in Editing from the University of Guadalajara (1996-1999) and Bachelor in Communication Sciences from ITESO (1982-1986). He currently coordinates the Communication Sciences undergraduate program at ITESO. He has published the books "Strategic Communication Design and Management", "Organizational Ecology and Communication" and "Management of Organizational Knowledge".
Eduardo Quijano Tenreiro, MA
Master's degree in Politics and Public Management and Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from ITESO. In his professional career he has worked as an executive in electronic media, where he created, conducted, and directed media projects. He designed and implemented consulting projects and collaboration for media corporations; NGO's; and government, academic, business and cultural organizations in Mexico and the United States.
