The ITESO-Boston College International Doctorate in Social Welfare is a program that addresses the need for high-level human resources in the different fields of study, research and practice of social welfare, and the problems associated with it.
Social welfare professionals deal with the conflicts that emerge from the interaction among human beings, and between humans and their surroundings, through the promotion of social change with a focus on conflict resolution and the empowerment of individuals.
OBJECTIVES
- To form researchers who can identify, understand and explain socio-economic problems, in order to improve the quality of life of vulnerable individuals and groups.
- To expand social wellbeing through contributions from different disciplinary perspectives, using relevant methodological tools to address different research problems.
- To form researchers who can contribute to the generation of intervention strategies and models to meet the needs of vulnerable groups, and who generate knowledge to promote the social wellbeing of those affected by the country's socio-economic problems.
- To develop a research project in a specific area of social wellbeing that also addresses a topic of interest for Mexico or a certain region of the country.
