Admission Requirements
- A professional engineering degree, along with a master's degree from any area of engineering, physics, or mathematics, or else a professional degree in physics or mathematics, together with a master's degree in any area of engineering.
- Accredit an intermediate level of English proficiency, through one of the following 4 alternatives: 1) Level B2 of the CEF (Common European Framework); 2) At least 79 points on the iBT TOEFL (Internet-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language) administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS); 3) At least 550 points on the PB (Paper-Based) TOEFL ministered by the ETS; 4) A grade of C or higher on the FCE (First Certificate in English) exam administered by the University of Cambridge Examinations Syndicate.
- Submit an admission application to the PhD program in the established format.
- Pass the doctoral admissions exam, which consists of a technical presentation on the candidate's area of experience, plus an explanation of his/her reasons for wanting to study this graduate program.
For the specific lines of research in electronics design and high-performance software, candidates must also:
- Be a graduate from an engineering program in the area of electronics or computer science. For example: electronic engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronic engineering, nanotechnology engineering, electronic technology engineering, electronic system engineering, biomedical engineering, network and telecommunications engineering, etc.

Have a master's degree in one of the following areas: electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, informatics, physics, mathematics, operations research.
