Coordinator of the undergraduate and graduate programs in Philosophy and Social Sciences. Professor of the courses Introduction to Philosophical Practice, Social Practice, and Final Philosophical Dialogues. Member of the Council of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences. Coordinator of the Editorial Board of Xipe totek, journal of philosophy and humanities. Member of the Mexican Association of Undergraduate Programs in Philosophy (AMELIF, in its initials in Spanish) and co-organizer of the annual Jalisco Philosophy Conference. Lines of research: reflection on philosophical formation.
Dr. Héctor Garza Saldívar, SJ
Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Universidad de Comillas, Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the Instituto Libre de Filosofía, A. C., and Bachelor's Degree in Theology from the Instituto Teológico Máximo de Cristo Rey. He has over 20 years of academic experience. Coordinator of the Doctorate in the Philosophy of Education. Professor of the courses History of Philosophy, Philosophy in Society, Kant and Schopenhauer. Research project: philosophy and formation, philosophy and science. Recent publication: A Small God. Zubirian Basis for an Alternative Philosophy of History.
Rubén Ignacio Corona Cadena, M.A., SJ
Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Theology, and Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the Centre Sèvres (Jesuit Faculties of Paris); Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the Instituto Libre de Filosofía y Ciencias, A. C. Director of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, professor of the courses Intelligence and Reality, Aristotle, and Philosophy of Historical Reality. Associate researcher of the Paul Ricœur Fund; his lines or interests of research fall in the areas of philosophical anthropology and the philosophy of religion in contemporary philosophy, primarily from the perspectives of Xavier Zubiri and Paul Ricœur. He has also explored religious violence from the perspectives of the philosophers Baruch Spinoza and René Girard.
Dr. Cristina Cárdenas Castillo
Ph.D. in Educational Science and member of the National System of Researchers (SNI, in its initials in Spanish), level 1. Professor of the courses Philosophical Research, Thesis Seminar, and Philosophy of Education. Her academic career spans over 30 years. Member of the Editorial Board of Xipe totek, journal of philosophy and humanities. Her lines of research fall under the headings of the history of education, the philosophy of education, and formation for research. Her most recent publication: Graduate Studies Within the Mexican Educational System.
Dr. Demetrio Zavala Scherer
Ph.D. in Philosophy and Master's Degree in the History of Philosophy from the University of Barcelona. Bachelor's Degree in History from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA). Professor of the courses Theory of Justice, History of Modern Philosophy, Hume, Husserl and Foucault. Member of the Council of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities, and of the Editorial Board of Xipe totek, journal of philosophy and humanities. His lines of research revolve around the history of modern philosophy, hermeneutics and phenomenology.
Marta Petersen Farah, M.A.

Professor of the courses Philosophical Anthropology, Philosophy of Culture, and Ethics. Lines of research: ethics and violence. Editorial director of Christus, journal of theology and human sciences. His line of research: philosophical dialogue between theology and science.
