Graduate profile
As a result of the formative process offered by this program, students are expected to master the design tools and methodologies used in the design flow of systems-on-chip. In this sense, graduates will acquire the following skills:
- Design and integration of systems-on-chip.
- Design of analog and digital Custom-FUBs (Functional Units), for example CPU (Central Processing Unit), video and audio drivers, among others.
- Design of integrated circuits for serial communications.
- Mixed design: Register Transfer Logic (RTL) + custom design.
- Analog simulation and mixed (functional) simulation.
- Digital, analog and mixed-signal (AMS) logic verification.
- Static timing analysis.
- Cross-domain clock check.
- Integrated Circuit Testing.
- APR: Automatic Place & Route
- Efficient use of UNIX tools and Tcl (tool command language) scripting, Perl and Python for circuit design and design rule checks (DRC) in layout.
- Electrical and mathematical device and circuit modeling.
- Project management and execution.
- Documentation (essays, technical reports, dissertation, etc.)
