Iván Esteban Villalón Turrubiates, PhD (Coordinator)
PhD and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences (Cinvestav-IPN). He has published over 20 specialized articles in the areas of digital signal processing and remote-perception images. His area of expertise is the analysis, design and optimization of processing systems for large volumes of information. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
Mildreth Isadora Alcaraz Mejía, PhD
Master's degree and PhD in Computer Science (Cinvestav-IPN). She has published over 25 specialized papers in the areas of event-guided systems, embedded systems, text mining, information analysis, distributed and parallel systems, and artificial intelligence. Her work includes a patent published in the United States. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) Level I. Member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. Senior Member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). Evaluator on the CONACYT Registry of Accredited Evaluators (RCEA). Member of different editorial boards for indexed journals and IEEE conferences.
José Francisco Cervantes Álvarez, PhD
PhD in Computer Science from the University of Grenoble-Alpes in France, PhD in Electrical Engineering Sciences from CINVESTAV-IPN in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and Master's Degree in Computer Science from CENIDET in Cuernavaca, Morelos. He has published a number of internationally peer-reviewed articles. His areas of research include multi-agent systems, distributed constraint satisfaction problems, and pattern recognition. Since 2014 he has coordinated ITESO's undergraduate program in Computer Systems Engineering.
Dr. Luis Julián Domínguez Pérez
Doctor of Philosophy de la Facultad de Ingeniería y Computación de la Universidad de la Ciudad de Dublín (DCU), Irlanda. Maestro en Calidad e Ingeniero en Sistemas Computacionales del Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas (Anáhuac-IEST). Ha publicado en revistas arbitradas en las áreas de Criptografía y de Seguridad de la Información, además de algunos capítulos de libro. Actualmente, es profesor en el Departamento de Electrónica, Sistemas e Informática del ITESO, es miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), de la Sociedad Matemática Mexicana (SMM), de la Academia Mexicana de Computación (AMEXCOMP), del Instituto de Ingenieros Eléctricos y Electrónicos (IEEE) y de la Asociación Internacional de Criptología (IACR). PhD from the Faculty of Engineering and Computing of Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland. Master's degree in Quality and Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Tamaulipas (Anáhuac-IEST). He has published in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of Cryptography and Information Security, as well as several book chapters. He is currently a professor in ITESO's Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics, and a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), the Mexican Mathematical Society (SMM), the Mexican Computing Academy (AMEXCOMP), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the International Association of Cryptology (IACR).
Luis Enrique González Jiménez, PhD
PhD and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences from CINVESTAV-IPN, Guadalajara. He has published numerous journal and conference articles reviewed by international peers. His areas of research include robust non-linear control, vision-driven robotic systems, and embedded control systems. He is a candidate for membership of the National System of Researchers (SNI-C 2014).
Luis Fernando Gutiérrez Preciado, PhD
PhD and Master's Degree in Computer Science (Cinvestav-IPN). He has published several papers in specialized journals and conferences in areas such as physical simulation, computer graphics, parallel computing, computer geometry, and advanced data structures. He currently works on projects related to the efficient information processing and analysis.
Álvaro Iván Parres Peredo, PhD.
Phd in Engineering Sciences from ITESO. Master's Degree in Information Technology Management (ITSM). His areas of specialization are information security, computer networks, technology infrastructure and cloud computing. He is currently studying for his PhD in Engineering Science (ITESO), where he is conducting a research project on information security using high-performance computing. He coordinates ITESO's undergraduate program in Information Security and Networks.
Hugo Iván Piza Dávila, PhD
PhD and Master's Degree in Computer Science (Cinvestav-IPN). He has published over 20 specialized papers in different areas of computer science, such as distributed systems, virtual 3D environments, computer optimization methods, pattern recognition, and data mining. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI-I 2016).
Guillermo Sánchez Díaz, PhD
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's degree in Computer Science from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. PhD in Computer Science from the Computer Research Center of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional de México. He is currently a research professor at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. His lines of research are pattern recognition, data mining and artificial intelligence applications for geoinformatics. He has published over 50 articles in conference proceedings and international journals, and has served as a reviewer for different conferences and journals, both national and international. He has also served as a member of the scientific committee for different international conferences.
Víctor Hugo Zaldívar Carrillo, PhD
PhD and Master's Degree with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Systems (University of Montpellier II). He is currently working on a research project on the semantic web and intelligent agents. The project develops search and semantic analysis algorithms and tools in free text files. He has a patent application in the United States and over 23 years of teaching and research experience.
José Luis Elvira Valenzuela, MS
Master's Degree in Applied Informatics (ITESO). His area of expertise focuses on operating systems and parallel computing. He has over 20 years of teaching experience. He has worked with Intel as an instructor in parallel programming courses, has taught at renowned universities around the country, and has participated in several national and international forums and conferences.
Pedro Arturo Cornejo Torres, M.S.
Computer Electronics Engineer (CETI) and Master's degree in Computer Science (Cinvestav-IPN). He currently works as the Head of the Application Continuity Technical Team for the RDBMS at Oracle, where he is in charge of developing service continuity solutions for applications that use Oracle's database engine through OCI and JDBC. Specialist in artistic graphic synthesis and 2D/3D engineering using software and Direct3D, as well as in parallel processing with GPU using DirectCompute. Over 20 years of teaching experience in the field of computer science. He has done personal research on video game development, artificial intelligence, real-time physical simulations, and digital and computer signal processing (images-sound).
Miriam Díaz Rodríguez, M.S.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Sciences from CINVESTAV-IPN in Guadalajara. Her research areas are discrete event systems, compilers, and serious games. She has published papers at national and international conferences, and directed 14 completed master's degree dissertations. She currently works on Internet-of-Things projects, immersive-reality systems, Petri network diagnosis and mobile applications.
Raúl Arturo García Huerta, M.Sc.
Master of Science degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany (TUM), in the field of Space Science and Technology, with a specialization in satellite navigation. He is currently working on his PhD in ITESO's Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences, doing research on the navigation of unmanned aerial vehicles. He also works as a full-time professor in the Department of Technological and Industrial Processes.
Gisel Hernández Chávez, M.S.
Master's degree in Information Systems from the University of Guadalajara. Bachelor's degree in Automated Direction Systems Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico José A. Echeverría (ISPJAE) of the School of Industrial Engineering in Havana, Cuba. Specialization in the Mathematical, Informational and Technical Assurance of Automated Direction Systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). Certified as a Consultant by México Emprende and as an Incubator Manager by the National Business Incubation Association. From 1998 to 2000 she was the teaching coordinator for Programming; from 2000 to 2003, she coordinated the undergraduate program in Computer Systems. From 2004 to 2010 she was the teaching coordinator for Software Engineering and coordinated the Technological Business Incubator. From 2006 to 2017 she sat on the Rector's Council, and from 2011 to 2017, she served as ITESO's General Academic Director. She currently teaches in the Department of Electronics, Systems and Informatics.
Víctor Hugo Ortega Guzmán, MS
Master's Degree in Computer Science (UNIVA) with a specialization in Business Intelligence Technologies: Data Warehousing and Data Mining (UOC, Spain) and another in Business Process Improvement (ITESO). Consultant at the Center for Innovation and Technology Management (Ceginnt, in its initials in Spanish), where he works on projects related to databases, business intelligence, and graph-based databases. He is currently studying for his PhD in Engineering Sciences, specifically in High-Performance Software (ITESO).
Luis Eduardo Pérez Bernal, MS
Master's Degree in Applied Informatics (ITESO). His area of expertise is the programming and development of multiplatform applications. He has over 35 years of teaching experience, and has participated in several national and international forums and conferences. He currently works on projects related to the fields of Smart Cities, Living-Lab, Internet of Things (IoT), and Mobile Application development.
Norma Isabel Villanueva Paredes
With a Master's Degree in Computer Science (CINVESTAV-IPN), Norma has published a number of articles and presented papers at conferences on process modeling using Petri Networks. She is also a businesswoman, with over 15 years of experience developing and implementing information systems. She currently coordinates ITESO's Mobile App Lab.

Alberto De Obeso Orendain, PhD (Intersys Consulting)
Director of the Big Data area at Intersys Consulting, based in Austin, TX, which specializes in the merging of data and software development. PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. His area of specialization includes the design and development of data pipelines, machine learning, cognitive modeling and the development of analytical models. He has published a number of papers at international conferences in areas such as cognitive modeling and data mining, and for the last four years he has been working on precision agriculture projects.
Omar García González, M.Sc. (ORACLE)
Master of Science degree in Information Engineering and Administration from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas), and MBA from ITESO where he is currently working toward his PhD in Engineering Sciences. His work experience focuses on project management (projects with technology), agile development methodologies and advanced technical user support. Knowledge and experience of BI, SQL and Big Data-related issues, as well as ongoing learning in the use of technology for advancing the medical industry.

He has published several journal articles, book chapters and papers at international conferences in the areas of distributed algorithms, wireless sensor networks, and optimization strategies.
