Dr. Raúl Díaz Padilla
PhD in Planning Studies from the University College London (UCL); Master's Degree in Design Research from the Design Academy of Eindhoven (DAE), and Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from the University of Guadalajara. He currently works as a research professor in ITESO's Department of Habitat and Urban Development, and coordinates the Master's Degree program in Strategic Design and Social Innovation.
Lines of work:
-Strategic design for regenerating public spaces and the built environment.
-Participatory development and design.
-Strategic design and planning of urban mobility.
Networks in which he participates:
- He coordinates the Citizen's Observatory on Mobility and Transportation of the State of Jalisco.
- He heads up ITESO's Professional Application Project called "Social Regeneration of Public Spaces".
Dr. Alejandra Navarro Smith
PhD in Social Anthropology using visual resources, Master's Degree in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester, England, and Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). She currently works as a research professor in the Department of Sociocultural Studies at ITESO, and is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level II (2018-2022).

-Subjectivity, meaning and power.

- Critical-decolonial thinking
- Economic, social and cultural rights.
- Exclusion, racism and xenophobia
- Analysis of the organization of home life, work life, and power in the context of globalization.
- Production of collaborative knowledge combining textual and audiovisual codes.

-She collaborates with the fishermen and fisherwomen of the Indigenous Cooperative Society Cucapá Chapaiseirsjurray developing projects that relate to research, impact on public policy and audiovisual production.

Dr. David Foust Rodríguez
David Foust Rodríguez is a full-time professor and researcher of the Department of Economics, Administration and Marketing at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He has a PhD in Social Sciences (Sociology), a Master's Degree in Social Sciences (Social Development and Labor Studies) from the University of Guadalajara, and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO).
Lines of research:
- Social and economic policy (poverty and inequality), labor rights and social security, emotions and social change in Mexico and the United States.
Networks in which he participates:
-He is a member of the National Network of Researchers in Sociocultural Studies of Emotions (RENISCE, in its initials in Spanish), the Mexican Network for Social Policy Research (REMIPSO, in its initials in Spanish) and the GoodElectronics international network.
Andrea Fellner Grassman
She has a Master's Degree in the Communication of Science and Culture from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) and Graduate Degree in City Management and Creative Entrepreneurship from the University of Córdoba, Argentina. She also has a Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design and Graphic Design from the School of Fine Arts of Stuttgart, Germany, where she graduated with a thesis project about a cultural program for the utilization of art warehouses in the city of Munich, Germany, with museum design proposals for the Museum of Greek Art in the Glyptothek. She currently directs the ITESO Interdisciplinary Center for Social Formation and Engagement (CIFOVIS, in its initials in Spanish).

- Design as a factor for sustainable development, aimed at promoting autonomous social and economic processes in artisan communities.

-Preservation of artisan techniques for textile design

Luis Flores Flores
He has a Master's Degree in Quality Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Design from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He collaborated in the development of ITESO's Materials Library (Materioteca), and is currently developing an evaluation methodology, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and Territorial Development (SEMADET, in its initials in Spanish) to develop the first eco-label in the State of Jalisco. He has taught in the areas of design and applied footwear ergonomics, designing footwear at universities such as UVM and CIME. He was the creative director of the Maple Collective and the Ombu Project. He has worked on projects related to the development of brands, furnishings, exhibits, surgical instruments, websites, apps, among others, at comprehensive design agencies located in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area. He has collaborated as a product engineer and industrial designer for BEI Baumgartner Environics Inc., a company that develops technologies for rural areas to meet US environmental regulations and promotes environmental responsibility. He has worked as a product engineer and researcher for Grupo Industrial Centella, where he developed production proposals aimed at maximizing productivity and conducted research on ergonomics and human biomechanics, particularly with regard to walking and the development of shoe lasts with special applications, such as footwear for elderly people, diabetics and people with walking problems. He has participated in the development of the following patents: Delta Insert (1998), Electrostatic Insert (1999), Insole for Metatarsal Support (2000) and Double-Density Soles (2000). He currently works as a research professor in ITESO's Department of Habitat and Urban Development, and coordinates the educational program in Design.

Gregorio Leal Martínez
He has a Master's Degree in Social Economics from the Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento (Argentina) and Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He is currently a member of the Basic Academic Unit for Collaborative Formation with Social Relevance at ITESO's Interdisciplinary Center for Social Formation and Engagement (CIFOVIS). He has collaborated in the design and coordination of intervention projects related to social and solidarity economies, local development and popular education.
Lines of work:
-Consulting, organizational training, designing methodological tools and developing alternative economy projects, including alternative social and solidarity economy projects in rural and urban sectors of Mexico, Argentina, and other regions of Latin America.
Networks in which he participates:
-Thematic Network for Solidarity Economy and Food Alternatives (Mexico).
-He currently provides advisory support from CIFOVIS to Professional Application Projects related to Sustainability and Technology.
-He has collaborated in formative and academic processes with the COMPARTE Network (Iberoamerica), the National Network for University Extension (Argentina) and the University Network for Social and Solidarity Economies (Argentina).
Dr. Martha Leticia Silva Flores
She has a PhD in Socioeconomics, and graduated with honors from the PhD in Social-Scientific Studies, a program listed on the National Registry of Quality Graduate Programs of the National Science and Technology Council (CONACYT, in its initials in Spanish) at the international level. She has a Master's Degree in Cognitive Processes from ITESO, a Master's Degree in Knowledge Management from the ILO in Turin, Italy, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from UNAM. She currently works as a professor at the Center for Innovation and Technology Management (CEGINT, in its initials in Spanish) and directs the Center for High-Impact Social Innovation of Jalisco (CISAI, in its initials in Spanish).

Dr. David Vargas del Rio
He has a PhD in Marine Sciences and a Master's Degree in Applied Physics from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, as well as a Master's Degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Guadalajara. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente, where he currently works as a research professor in ITESO's Department of Habitat and Urban Development, and is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level I.
Lines of work:
-Promoting the political and material autonomy of societies by using technologies that promote decentralized production and do not surpass the community scale.
-Sustainable technology design.
Hugo García Sahagún
He studied a Bachelor's Degree at the School of Design of the University of Guadalajara, as well as a Master's Degree in Social Management from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO). He has been a professor since 1991 at several universities in Guadalajara, and has taught at ITESO's School of Design since 1997. He coordinated the undergraduate program in Design at ITESO from 2014 to 2020, and currently coordinates the strategic design academy, and teaches and coordinates the Research, Development and Innovation area of ITESO's Master's Degree in Strategic Design and Social Innovation.
Lines of work:
- His professional career has included participation in projects that relate to social issues, and he has taken part in workshops related to poster design, organized by ITESO, with the Brazilian designer Felipe Taborda to address the problem of domestic violence, with the French designer Alain Le Quernec on the topic of "Democracy", with the Hungarian designer István Orosz on the topic of "Here and Now", with designer Luba Lukova on the topic of family violence, and on the construction of an object art message with the Spanish designer Isidro Ferrer. He has been an honored guest in the design of posters in Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iran, Korea, Peru and Mexico.
- Furthermore, his posters have been selected by renowned designers from different continents among the 50 best posters at international contests for socially-themed designs, and have reached the top ten internationally for posters on the topic of climate change.
- His posters have been displayed in several countries, including the United States, Iran, Ireland, China, Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Ecuador, North Korea and Mexico, and he has also published them in books and national and international magazines.

Dr. Guillermo Pérez Esparza
He has a PhD in Business Competitiveness and Economic Development and a Master's Degree in Business Studies from the University of Deusto, in Spain. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO), as well as extensive experience as an advisor and coordinator for university outreach projects for the development of micro, small and medium-sized companies in different industries. He currently works as a professor and advisor at the University Business Center (CUE, in its initials in Spanish).
