Graduate profile
The Master's Degree in Sustainable Cities and Public Spaces is designed for graduates to develop the knowledge and skills required to:
- Manage the development of projects that contribute to the improvement of interactions, social cohesion and equality at the neighborhood, district and metropolitan level.
- Manage comprehensive habitat planning processes for the design, recovery and/or construction of collective urban spaces.
- Promote urban governance, negotiation and identification of the social actors involved in the decision-making and design of public spaces.
- Conduct projects within public administration and legal frameworks for the purpose of transforming the urban environment.
- Integrate socio-demographic and economic information into public space development projects.
- Apply assessment instruments to strategies, plans and intervention projects in collective public spaces at the neighborhood, district and metropolitan levels.
- Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of public policies aimed at sustainable urban development.
- Teach at educational institutions and conduct applied research processes.
- Problematize, scale and project solutions in a complex setting that requires a sustainable vision.
