Focus of generation and application of knowledge
Building an imperfect peace
The positive transformation of conflicts is ITESO's institutional proposal to address the violence afflicting our society. Problems arising from multiculturalism, migration, gender and mobility, among other issues, constitute complex scenarios for building peace that, even with unfinished and imperfect results, contributes to a more just and humane society. Students can focus on these issues as they develop final projects that benefit disadvantaged people and groups.
The universal character of Human Rights (HR), and at the same time, the serious HR violations occurring in Mexico and Jalisco, have been a priority in ITESO's academic agenda and field work. Professional Application Projects, the Institutional Program of Human Rights and Peace, along with this graduate program, respond with research and the application of knowledge to the urgent need to recognize and protect the Human Rights of society's most disadvantaged groups and individuals.
