Program Structure and Degree Requirements
The courses included in the curriculum are regularly reviewed and updated, so their content or sequence may be subject to change. The program is officially recognized by the Secretaría de Educación Pública (Ministry of Education) under RVOE Agreement No. 15018, published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) on November 29, 1976. Delivered in an in-person (school-based) modality.
Following the suggested course path, students complete a total of 14 core courses and 4 Research, Develop ment and Innovation (IDI) seminars, totaling 113 credits over 2.5 years. All skills development workshops must be completed before the second semester of the program.
Core courses are generally held Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The three competency development workshops are delivered over nine weekends in total (three weekends per workshop), with sessions held on Thursday or Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Elective courses are usually offered Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and may also be scheduled on Saturdays, depending on the current offerings across ITESO’s graduate programs
Research, Development and Innovation (IDI) courses are typically scheduled biweekly, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Degree Completion Process
To earn the Master’s Degree in Business Administration, students must complete all required credits and meet the program’s academic requirements. In addition, students must complete their Graduate Final Project (Trabajo de Obtención de Grado – TOG), which is evaluated as part of the IDI IV course. This process includes a formal presentation of the project before the academic community, the student's advisor, and an assigned reader.
